Master’s Degree Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements to apply as a master’s degree student are as follows:
General Requirements (Except for Anatomical Sciences Education and Innovative Aging Studies)
- BS or BA with a strong science foundation and a minimum of five full semesters of courses related to biology, biological sciences, chemistry and/or physics
- A 3.0 upper-division GPA (use this form to calculate your upper-division GPA)
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended
- A resume/CV*
- $30 application fee
Anatomical Sciences Education Admission Requirements
- BS or BA with a strong science foundation and a minimum of five full semesters of courses related to biology, biological sciences, chemistry and/or physics
- A 3.0 upper-division GPA (use this form to calculate your upper-division GPA)
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended
- A resume/CV*
- Three letters of recommendation
- Statement of purpose
- $30 application fee
Innovative Aging Studies Admission Requirements
- Prior bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or doctoral degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or degree deemed equivalent by the UF Office of Admissions
- A 3.0 upper-division GPA
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended
- A resume/CV*
- Statement of purpose
- $30 application fee
*Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.
Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements
All Specializations (Except for Aging and Geriatric Practice)
- BS or BA with a strong science foundation and a minimum of five full semesters of courses related to biology, biological sciences, chemistry and/or physics
- A 2.0 upper-division GPA (use this form to calculate your upper-division GPA)
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended
- $30 application fee
Aging and Geriatric Practice Admission Requirements
- Prior bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or doctoral degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or degree deemed equivalent by the UF Office of Admissions
- A 3.0 upper-division GPA

- $30 application fee
